Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan series to return on TV amid Adipurush row

New Delhi: Adipurush which was released on June 16 and has received a  lot of backlash from the viewers. The film received many negative reviews from film critics all over the country. From its poor dialogues to its shoodyVFX, the film failed to meet the expectation of movie buffs. Amid this, it has been announced that Ramanad Sagar’s Ramayan will soon return to television. According to Shemaroo TV, the popular mythological show will air from July 3 on the channel. Fans have been comparing the film from the show Ramayana from day 1 of the release of the movie.

Ramayana to  release on TV

Since the release of the movie Adipurush, the film has been questioned for its authenticity and its relatability with the epic saga. Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush has been criticized to the extent that makers have to change some of its dialogues which were not suitable for the mythological drama. Reacting to the film Arun Govil who had played the role of lord Ram n Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana called it a ‘Hollywood Ki cartoon’.

Apart from Arun Govil, Sunil Lahiri who played Lakshman in Ramayana also showed his anger at Adipurush. Anil Govil, Sunil Lahiri, and Dipika Chikhila portrayed the role of Ram, Lakshman, and Sita in the show respectively. Sharing a video on its Instagram Handle of Shemaroo TV  from the show  Ramayana, they wrote, World famous Mythological show Ramayana is back for all its fans and our audience who loved watching it. The show will be on air from 3 July onward at 7:30 pm on Shemaroo TV
