New Delhi: Today marks the Japanese debut of Rising Impact, the first anime adaptation of the acclaimed manga by Nakaba Suzuki of the same name. the two seasons will make its worldwide Netflix debut later in 2024. The late ’90s and early 2000s manga era was a magical time for friendship and perseverance.
Synopsis
Gawain Nanaumi, the protagonist of Rising Impact, is a third-grader who has a tremendous passion for baseball and catching balls in midair. When he meets Kiria Nishino, a female professional golfer, by coincidence, he finds out that golf is the one sport that would help him hit the ball farther than any other.
His physical prowess and sharp eye for detail, honed while living in a remote mountain region, allow him to smash the ball to unbelievable distances that challenge the best of the pros. The new golf fanatic engages at Camelot Academy, a famous institution for accomplished and aspiring golfers from all over the globe, with Kiria’s assistance. While Gawain aspires to be the top professional golfer in the world, he must overcome several obstacles and contend with other golf prodigies who possess remarkable abilities.
When and Where to Watch?
A two-season anime adaption of the dormant manga series has been planned, and the streamer has already revealed when both seasons will be available. In 2024, the first season will be released in June, and the second in August. Netflix will launch the Japanese version of the series today, January 15, 2024.

Cast
Yumiri Hanamori portrays Lancelot Normal, while Misaki Kuno plays Gawain. Other voice actors include You Taichi, Atsumi Tanezaki, Katsuyuki Konishi, Shunsuke Takeuchi, Yuto Uemura, Kaede Hondo, Yumi Uchiyama, and Eiji Takemoto.

The Rising Impact manga series was created by Nakaba Suzuki and is published in Japan. The story ran in Weekly Shonen Jump, a Shueisha Shonen manga magazine, from November 1998 to February 2002. Netflix is going to debut an original net animation adaptation made by Lay-duce.
On December 8, 2023, news broke that an original net animation series will be getting the go-light. Hitoshi Nanba directs and Lay-duce produces the series, which features scripts written by Michihiro Tsuchiya, character designs by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, and music by Masaru Yokoyama.
