SAG Awards 2024: Here is when and where to watch this 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on digital platform

New Delhi: Fans can’t wait for the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, where their favourite actors and actresses will compete for prestigious prizes. This weekend – February 24, the SAG Awards will be revealed with the Official Pre-Show hosted by Tan France and Elaine Welteroth.

Where Will it Take Place?

Live from Los Angeles, California’s Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall, the SAG Awards—presented by Silent House Productions and SAG-AFTRA—will be streamed worldwide on Netflix. Recognized as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument and included on the National Register of Historic Places, the Shrine Auditorium is well-known for its landmark status and architectural theme inspired by Morocco.

When and Where to Watch Online?

The Screen Actors Guild Awards will be available to watch on Netflix. On February 24, 2024, after its airing on TBS and TNT, the event will be streamed on the OTT platforms. At 8 p.m. EST, viewers can watch the event from their small screen at home.

At 7 p.m. EST, viewers can also see all the pre-awards highlights, including the red-carpet appearance on TikTok, and YouTube.

Nominees

Barbie and Oppenheimer both garnered four nominations each from the Screen Actors Guild, while hits like – Killers of the Flower Moon, Poor Things, and Maestro trailed somewhat behind. Similar to the Golden Globes, SAG will recognise both film and television successes.

Nominations for drama series include Succession, The Morning Show, and The Crown, all of which have a good chance of winning. Ted Lasso and Only Murders in the Building have also placed well in the comedy series category.

The Lifetime Achievement Award

A Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to one of the celebrities per the customary practice that takes place once a year. There will be a trophy presented to Barbra Streisand this year in recognition of her outstanding achievements in the industry throughout her career. Fran Drescher, the president of the Screen Actors Guild, referred to her as a “colossal icon” who has an unwavering work ethic and has developed during her incredible journey.
