Saif Ali Khan spotted filming Sacred Games season 2. See pics

Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan has started shooting for the second season of Netflix web-series Sacred Games and the actor was recently photographed on the sets in Mumbai dressed as Sartaj Singh – the Sikh cop he plays in the series.

The pictures show Saif in full costume, wearing a turban and a blue shirt. His hand is bandaged because of an injury he received at the end of the show’s first season. Sartaj will continue his investigation into the impending attack on Mumbai, as revealed by the gangster Ganesh Gaitonde. Gaitonde died in the show’s first episode and sends Sartaj on a race-against-time hunt for clues that could help him stop the attack.

The first edition ended with Gaitonde escaping from prison. This instalment sees him seeking refuge in Kenya where he eventually rises to power as a crime lord. The unit has planned a straight 50-day schedule there.

Production of the second season was hit be a roadblock when allegations of sexual misconduct were levelled against a lead writer, Varun Grover, and co-directors Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane’s producing partner at the now-defunct Phantom Films, Vikas Bahl

“I said to myself that ‘just be confident’. Sartaj is a fascinating character. He’s holding the show forward. Technically, the show is not moving forward without him. He is the soul and grounds it. And then, you need something to believe in otherwise everyone can be immoral,” Saif Ali Khan told PTI.
