New Delhi: Since its release on December 22, the Prabhas-starrer Salaar has been a financial success. However, there has been a consistent drop in sales for the action-thriller as well. Saturday saw the film’s earnings fall to 56.35 crore rupees, down from an initial run of an outstanding 90.7 crore rupees in India.
Tuesday, December 26, 2023, the film’s fifth day of release, the director Prashanth Neel (known for KGF) only managed to earn Rs 24.9 crore in India across all languages.
In India, Salaar’s first-day total earnings across all languages were around 90.7 crore rupees. The second day, however, saw a fall to Rs 56.35 crore. Day three again saw the film’s box office takings rise to Rs 62.05 crore, marking another successful leap. However, Monday (Day 4) saw the film’s earnings fall again, this time to roughly Rs 46.3 crore. The film’s total collections for the fifth day came to Rs 24.9 crore, a dip of over 46 per cent.

The film has earned a total of 287.72 crore Indian rupees as of this writing, with Day 6 collections of 7.42 crore rupees adding to that total. It is anticipated that the film will soon reach a total of Rs 300 crore mark.
Salaar earned Rs 406 crore worldwide, including USD 11.50 million from abroad. Next week’s longer holiday weekend may push it above Rs 400 crore, closer to Rs 425 crore. The action drama launched to Rs 178 crore globally, the highest opening in 2023.

In the meanwhile, the collecting range of Shah Rukh Khan’s December 21st film Dunki, which is competing with Salaar at the box office, has remained stable. The film has earned a total of 140.20 crore Indian rupees as of Tuesday, when its collections were 24.32 crore.
