Srikakulam SherlockHolmes OTT Release Date: “Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes” is a comedy thriller film written and directed by Writer Mohan in his directorial debut.
The movie stars Vennela Kishore as Om, a private detective who refers to himself as the “Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes,” alongside Ananya Nagalla, Siya Gowtam, Sneha Gupta, Ravi Teja Mahadasyam, and Prabhakar.
The film was released theatrically on December 25, 2024, and is scheduled for digital streaming on ETV Win starting January 24, 2025.
Set in May 1991, the film intertwines its story with real historical events, notably the assassination of Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. On the same day, a chilling incident occurs in Vizag. They find a young woman named Pulidandu Mary dead under mysterious circumstances on the beach.
The case quickly grabs the attention of the public and media, putting immense pressure on local law enforcement to solve it swiftly. In a surprising twist, CI Bhaskar, the local police officer in charge, turns to a private investigator for help.
That investigator is Om. Om, a quirky yet determined detective, calls himself the “Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes.”
Om, however, is confident in his abilities and eagerly accepts the challenge. Bhaskar gives him a strict deadline of seven days to solve the mystery.
Om’s primary ally is Constable Lakshmi. Lakshmi is a sharp and resourceful police officer who assists him in navigating the complexities of the case. Together, they form an unconventional investigative duo.
Om interrogates each suspect, piecing together the puzzle through clues, interviews, and flashbacks. The investigation uncovers layers of deceit, jealousy, and hidden connections. This reveals that Mary’s life was far more complicated than it initially appeared.
Om dives deeper into Mary’s life. Then, he discovers links to larger conspiracies and a web of lies that goes beyond the suspects. The film builds suspense by keeping the audience guessing about the real killer’s identity until the very end.
