Sunny Deol and Sanjay Dutt to work together in movie based on Babri Masjid case? Here’s what you should know

New Delhi: Gadar 2’s recent Box office success has every moviegoer wondering what’s next for Sunny Deol.

The veteran actor, whose career got a new life after his recently released movie received an overwhelmingly positive response from the masses, is currently travelling overseas and telling his movie’s massive success story to the audience.

Last week, rumours about the Gadar actor joining forces with director JP Dutta to create the sequel of his 1997 massive hit Border surfaced on social media. However, Sunny soon cleared the air with his Instagram post by making it clear to his fans that told he has not signed up for any such movies and is currently focusing on Gadar 2 only.

Putting an end to the rumours, the actor wrote, “Some news has been circulating of me signing a few films, I would like to inform you that currently I am only concentrating on Gadar 2 and receiving all your love. I have not signed any film and will be announcing something special soon at the right time. Till then keep showering your love on Tara Singh and Gadar 2.”

Sunny Deol to star in movie based on Babri Masjid case?

Soon after Border 2’s rumours died down, controversial actor KRK aka Kamal Rashid Khan triggered another series of speculations around Sunny Deol’s upcoming movie with his recently made tweets about the same.

In his tweets, KRK claimed that Sunny Doel and Sanjay Dutt are all set to star together In Manoj Muntasir’s unnamed movie which will centre around the 1992’s infamous Babri mosque demolition case. The actor also added that Sunny and Viacom 18 will be jointly producing the courtroom drama.

However, it is important to note here that neither of the claims made by KRK has been confirmed by any official backing so far.

Sunny Deol in Maa Tujhe Salam 2

Gadar’s Tara Singh is also believed to be part of the second instalment of Tinu Verma’s 2002 blockbuster Maa Tujhe Salam. As per reports, the movie’s writer KV Vijayndra Prasaad started working on its story soon after Gadar 2 emerged as a super hit at the box office.

Although the movie’s complete cast has not been announced yet, reports have it that renowned actors Arbaz Khan and Tabu, who were also the part of movie’s 2002 prequel, will be reprising their roles in the upcoming movie once again.

Maa Tujhe Sakam 2 will be produced by Mahendra Dhariwal in partnership with Zee Studious.
