Tamil actress Deepa dies by suicide; message in diary raises suspicion

New Delhi: Tamil actress Pauline Jessica who goes by the stage name Deepa died by suicide. She is best known for her roles in ‘Thupparivalan’, and ‘Vaaitha’ and was found hanging at her apartment in Chennai on Sunday morning. Besides, the actress left a suspicious message in her diary.

Reportedly, Deepa’s friend Prabhakaran rushed to the place and informed her brother in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, and also the Koyambedu police. The police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.

The police seized the diary which had a suspicious note written on it. The message reflected that she does not like her life as there is no one to support her. The note also read that she fell in love with someone, who didn’t accept her love and hence she is going to end her life. With the help of the message in the diary, the police are trying to find Deepa’s boyfriend to find more reasons for the actress’ demise.

The untimely demise of the actress has left the Kollywood industry in shock. Friends and colleagues of the 29-year-old actress have taken to social media to express grief.

There have been surging cases of suicides in the film and TV industries, and many movie stars have spoken about the need for asking for help. They have shared the contact of the State Health Department helpline number:104. This will be in need if anybody is facing any mental issues or have suicidal thoughts.
