The Brothers Sun OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Michelle Yeoh-starrer action-comedy series

New Delhi: A highly anticipated series that is poised to revolutionise streaming action-comedy, The Brothers Sun is part of Netflix’s original series. The show’s innovative genre mashup is a guarantee, coming from the mind of Brad Falchuk—the mastermind behind hit programmes like Glee, American Horror Story, and Scream Queens.

The eight-episode series is slated to premiere on January 4, 2024, and it is the result of a four-year deal that was made possible by Brad Falchuk and a streaming giant.

Plot

In addition to being a classic story about two cultures merging, The Brothers Sun is also filled with dark humour and themes that revolve around family.

When an attempt is made to kill the patriarch of the Sun family, Charles takes a flight from Taipei to Los Angeles to protect his family. Meanwhile, Bruce finds out the truth about the family’s profession as he and his mother adjust to their new normal and stay one step ahead of their dangerous enemies.

Trailer

Charles Sun, Eileen’s eldest son, was a notoriously competent murderer cum criminal, as the trailer makes abundantly clear. However, her adversaries find her vulnerability via her younger son Bruce, who is just as gullible and innocent as Buzz Lightyear was when he first imagined himself to be an actual astronaut.

When and Where to Watch?

The teaser for the eight-part series The Brother’s Sun was released on November 11, 2023, and the debut of the series is scheduled to take place on January 4, 2024, on Netflix. Additionally, on December 7, 2023, the trailer for the Tudum originals was also released.

Cast and Crew

In her portrayal of Eileen “Mama” Sun, an emotionally deep and powerful character, Michelle Yeoh demonstrates her impressive acting chops. In The Brothers Sun, up-and-coming actors Justin Chien (as Charles Sun) and Sam Song Li (as Bruce Sun) play siblings juggling household responsibilities and individual ambitions. Each member of the varied cast, from Highdee Kuan and Joon Lee to Jon Xue Zhang, brings something special to the storey and its many subplots.
