The Girl in the Trunk OTT Release: The upcoming Danish thriller ‘The Girl in the Trunk’ will be available for streaming on Book My show on 22nd November 2024. The film was released in theaters on May 28th 2024.
Plot
The story of the film follows the life of a woman named Amanda who is raised by a single father. Despite being raised by a single father, Amanda hails from a well-off family.
Her father decides to get her married and he fixes her wedding with a suitable groom who is also settled and financially stable. Amanda’s father finalise her wedding with John.
However, on the day of her wedding Amanda realizes that she is getting married to make her father happy.This marriage has nothing to do with her happiness. So she decides to run away from the wedding.
On the wedding day, Amanda runs away from the wedding venue in her wedding dress. She decides to rent a car so that she can drive away from the city and her family members will not be able to reach her.
She manages to reach a rental car stop and waites to pick up a car when a man spots her wearing the wedding dress and he knocks her down before kidnapping her and put her in his car’s trunk.
Amanda gets locked in the car of the kidnapper, the only thing she has is her phone with which she can manage to flee and save her life. She screams and pleads to let her go but her requests falls on deaf ears.
However in the end, Amanda manages to escape with the help of her father.
Cast and Production
The film is directed by Jonas Kvist and it stars Katharina Sporrer and Casper Phillipson in pivotal roles.
