Thug Life OTT Release Date: Kamal Hassan’s ambitious gangester drama Thug Life was released on the big screens last month on June 5, 2025.
Helmed and written by Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan, the film received a lukewarm reception from the cinemagoers as it failed to live up to the expectations of everyone.
Mainly because of its outdated storyline, imperfect direction, and sluggish pace, the movie struggled to keep the fans entertained on the big screen and was ultimately pulled from the theaters within a matter of 20-25 days.
Summing up its Box office collection at a forgettable total of Rs 93 crores, the crime thriller, which was prepared with a thumping budget of Rs 300 crore, emerged as a major commercial failure at the ticket windows.
Currently, the film is streaming online on OTT, where the masses can enjoy it right from the comfort of their homes.

Mahendran, Mani Ratnam and Siva Ananth has bankrolled the movie under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies.
