Thug Life OTT Release: Fans of Indian cinema are in for a major treat as “Thug Life”, the much-anticipated crime thriller starring the legendary Kamal Haasan, is gearing up for its digital premiere.
After making waves with its theatrical release, the film is now set to reach a wider audience via streaming platforms, bringing the gripping narrative of crime, deception, and survival into viewers’ homes.
“Thug Life” will begin streaming soon on Netflix from July 3rd, 2025.
Plot
In a ruthless world dominated by power struggles, crime, and betrayal, Sakthivel, a feared and respected mafia kingpin, sits at the helm of an empire built on blood, loyalty, and silence. Alongside him is his fiercely loyal brother Manickam, the only man he trusts completely in a world where trust is a currency easily spent and rarely returned.
Their lives take a pivotal turn during a violent police shootout one night — an encounter meant to crush Sakthivel’s reign. Amidst the chaos and gunfire, the brothers discover a terrified young boy named Amaran, caught in the crossfire. Moved by an unspoken instinct and sensing something familiar in the boy’s eyes, Sakthivel decides to adopt him, raising him as his own son within the very heart of the criminal underworld. Manickam, too, embraces the boy as family, and the three forge a bond stronger than blood.
Years pass, and Amaran grows up into a fiercely intelligent and capable young man — a potential heir to Sakthivel’s criminal dynasty.
