Thunderbolts OTT Release Date: Marvel’s ambitious superhero drama Thunderbolts unfortunately failed to emerge as a major commercial success.
Following its premiere at the Cineworld Leicester Square on April 22nd earlier this year, the film made its way to the big screens on May 2nd, 2025, surrounded by massive expectations and fan frenzy.
Headed by Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan, the flick started off its Box office jounrty with a bang, opening with a modest figure of USD 162 million in the global market. However, despite getting such a good start and receiving positive reception from the cinemagoers, the Jake Schreier directorial action drama remained unsuccessful in wreaking havoc on the big screens as its collection in the following days remained modest, but considerably below Marvel’s usual standard.
Ultimately, Thunderbolts summed up its Box office collection at USD 381 million, which is good, but at the same time just not enough for it to be labeled as a ‘blockbuster or ‘super-hit’, especially after taking into consideration its massive USD 180 million production budget. Currently, the film is streaming online on several renowned OTT platforms, where viewers can enjoy it on a rental basis.
