Plot
The story picks up with Kitty Song Covey returning to the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS) after the dramatic events of Season 1. Kitty continues her quest for self-discovery, love, and belonging, navigating her identity as a mixed-race Korean-American teenager.
Kitty Song Covey believes she knows everything about love. At least she knows all there is to know about it. She can go as far as to say that she’s positive her view of love is like no other. She would understand love because she is already in a relationship.
A long-distance relationship with her boyfriend Dae. Her boyfriend lives in South Korea and the distance between them could not be longer. But Kitty is not one to come to terms with her faith.
It seems that luck is in her favor as Kitty lands a scholarship to attend her mother’s alma mater in South Korea, a prestigious high school for international students. Kitty is fully gearing up to meet her long-distance boyfriend.
The only catch is that she has not told him anything about her scholarship or that she will be attending the same school as him. Kitty gets the shock of her life when she joins the school and checks in to realize her long-distance boyfriend is dating some other rich girl by the name of Yuri.
But that’s not all. And that is not the truth. Yuri is using Dae to hide from her parents. She’s gay and is seeing another girl who has been sent away once the two are discovered. Dae can only attend the prestigious school through the financial aid Yuri provides him.
But Kitty doesn’t know that. So she must navigate her life in this new place with a troubling start.
