13 dead in mass shooting at California nightclub in US, gunman killed
New Delhi: At least thirteen people were killed while many feared injured after an unidentified gunman opened fire on the crowd at a nightclub in California, United States.
The dead included 11 people inside the bar, gunman and a sheriff’s sergeant who was the first officer inside the door, Ventura County Sheriff Geoff Dean said.
The shooter, who was tall, hooded was also killed in the rampage.
The indiscriminate firing by the gunman created panic among those inside the bar, as many used barstools to break the window to escape from firing.

Dozens of terrified people hid under the tables and even crawled on floor to safeguard themselves.
One witness told local news he saw the gunman throw smoke bombs before opening fire and shooting and killing the security guard.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump tweeted that he has taken necessary action regarding this while also confirming that shooter along with 1st policeman to enter the bar was dead.
