New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday sacked Kumar Vishwas as the in charge of its unit in Rajasthan, where assembly elections are scheduled by end of the year.

AAP’s national treasurer Deepak Bajpai will replace rebel Kumar Vishwas as the convenor in Rajasthan.

AAP removes Kumar Vishwas“Deepak Bajpai will be the in-charge of the Assembly elections in Rajasthan. Kumar Vishwas was not able to devote time for election preparations due to his preoccupations,”AAP national spokesperson Ashutosh said.

Ashutosh said Kumar Vishwas was unable to spare “enough time” to work in Rajasthan and said the party will fight the Assembly election there with full vigour.

Vishwas has been openly critical of the AAP leadership specially after he lost out in the Rajya Sabha nominations last month.

Vishwas’ loyalty had come under the scanner following his criticism of AAP after the party suffered losses in Assembly elections and MCD polls last year.

Reports had emerged that Vishwas will quit the party but somehow truce was attained between the warring factions. Vishwas was then appointed Rajasthan in charge, seen as a conciliatory move.
