New Delhi: Bihar politician Sharad Yadav has stoked a major controversy with his below the belt remarks against Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
In an outrageous remark, Sharad Yadav said while campaigning in Alwar that Vasundhara Raje needs rest as she is growing fat.
In a video clip shared by news agency ANI, Yadav can be heard saying during a rally on Wednesday, “Vasundhra ko aaram do, bahut thak gayi hain, bahut moti ho gayi hain, pehle patli thi. Humare Madhya Pradesh ki beti hai (Please give Vasundhara some rest, she is tired, she has grown fat, she was thinner earlier. She is Madhya Pradesh’s daughter).”

Electioneering in the state ended at 5 pm Wednesday. Polling will take place from 8 am to 5 pm on December 7 in 199 constituencies.
Earlier also, Sharad Yadav sparked off controversy by making sexist remarks against women.
Last year, Sharad Yadav made a strange connection between the “honour of a vote and a daughter’s honour”.
In 2015, Sharad had called women from southern India ‘saavli’ (dark-skinned).
