Stones hurled at Nitish Kumar’s cavalcade, 2 security officials injured

Patna: At least two security officials sustained injuries after a group of people attacked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s convoy in Buxar’s Nandar village on Friday.

Nitish Kumar’s cavalcade was today pelted with stones while he was on his way to a village as part of the state-wide “Vikas Samiksha Yatra”.

The chief minister was unharmed.

An unfazed Kumar,however, continued with his Yatra. An official accompanying the chief minister said some people hurled stones at the cavalcade but it did not hamper the movement.

It was not immediately known who were the persons who indulged in stone-pelting and what was their grouse.

The chief minister has been touring the state since December 12, 2017, to monitor the government’s development schemes.
