The BJP is focusing extensively on its social media campaign for the elections to be held in the five states. The BJP has spared no effort to ensure that the presence of the party on the social media is extensive and well-coordinated. Amit Malviya, who is in-charge of the BJP’s national information and technology speaks with newsroompost.com about the party social media campaign in the five poll bound states Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.
Malviya says that the BJP’s social media foot-print in UP is the most prominent. Our engagement level is 8 times that of our rivals. We augmented the social media handles with our national page which has made it even much larger. We have a national network on Whatsapp and have networked this to every constituency. We also have two representatives in every constituency and we will provide digital communication and technology.
In Punjab you may not find us to be as apparent when compared to the rest of the states. We are contesting much lesser seats in the state and this is the reason for the presence not being that apparent. We have a similar infrastructure in place and it is focused more on those constituencies that the BJP is contesting the elections.
