Hardoi: On the occasion of International girl child day, about 11,000 school girls from 109 school assembled in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi to create a world record. They stood together to present to the world their ideas on “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”
They painted, formed a human chain and did a variety of other activities to mark the occasion.
The man behind the initiative was District Magistrate of Hardoi, Pulkit Khare who came up with the idea of inviting school girls from various schools to celebrate the occasion of International girl’s day.
He is actually the recipient of an award for his outstanding work in the State Nutrition Mission run by Child Development Authority.
All the girls presented their vision of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” by using the medium of arts and crafts. In this event, the team of Guinness Books of World Records was also present.
This event has given a whole new identity to the district. Pulkit Khare is also the first DM of Uttar Pradesh to received an award for such initiative.
