New Delhi: In an incident that is set to create wide-scale furore, a group of college students in Kerala allegedly waved Pakistan flag inside a college campus. Almost 30 students of the college have been booked for engaging in ‘anti-national activity’.

According to reports, the students are said to be members of Muslim Students Front (MSF). They were accompanied by Kerala Students Union (KSU), a student body supported by the Congress.

The incident reportedly happened on August 31 (Thursday), when students belonging to MSF were carrying out a procession as part of elections inside Perambra Silver college campus.

Cases under sections 143, 147, 149 of IPC have been filed by Perambra police in Kerala’s Kozhikode district.

Meanwhile, the college students defending the move, said the flag was of MSF and not Pakistan flag.

College governing body chairman A K Tharuvayi said that the MSF flag was held upside down which made it look like Pakistan’s national flag. However, he has assured probe into the matter.

The matter is set to attain political overtones as some party leaders have started commenting on it.
