Chandigarh University: Video of girl students taking bath in hostel bathroom leaked online, 8 attempt suicide

New Delhi: On Saturday night, hundreds of students protested at a private university campus in Gharuan after a female student from Chandigarh University was taken into police custody for allegedly leaking objectionable videos of other students.

According to the reports, the girl in Chandigarh University reportedly filmed video of over 60 female students bathing. She had sent it to someone and the videos were leaked on the internet.

After this incident, eight students tried to commit suicide.

The accused has been detained by the police.

The police have launched an investigation.
