New Delhi: Punjab IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill today narrated the squence leading to the arrest of ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh today morning from Punjab’s Rode village.
He said that Amritpal Singh was arrested at around 6:45 am. The operation was led by Amritsar Police and Intelligence Wing of Punab.
IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill said that “NSA warrants were issued against fugitive Amritpal Singh and those warrants was executed today morning.”
He also said that since Amritpal Singh was inside the Gurudwara Sahib, the Punjab Police did not enter the Gurudwara.

He also thanked the villagers and the people of Punjab for maitaings peace and harmony during this operation.

‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh will be shifted to Assam’s Dibrugarh.
Earlier, the Punjab Police urged the people of Punjab to maintain peace and harmony. And also requested public to not share fake news and to verify it before sharing it.
