Arunachal Pradesh MLA Tirong Aboh, family killed; CM Sangma condemns brutal terror attack

Tirong represented the Khonsa-West seat in Arunachal Pradesh and was contesting the Assembly election in 2019 from the seat too.

New Delhi:  National People’s Party (NPP) MLA Tirong Aboh is feared shot dead in a militant attack at Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday.

Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma-NPP condemned the attack and urged Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action against those responsible for the attack.

“NPP is extremely shocked and saddened by the news of the death of its Arunachal MLA Tirong Aboh and his family. We condemn the brutal attack and urge HM Rajnath Singh and PM Modi to take action against those responsible for such attack,” ANI quoted Sangma as saying.

Tirong Aboh killed by NSCN-IM terrorists 

National People’s Party MLA Tirong Aboh was on Tuesday killed in an attack by NSCN-IM terrorists in Arunachal Pradesh. At least 6 others, including his family, were shot dead in an ambush in Bogapani in Tirap district of the state. The attackers also set ablaze his car.

Tirong represented the Khonsa-West seat in Arunachal Pradesh and was contesting the Assembly election in 2019 from the seat too.
