BAPS Organisation congratulates CP Radhakrishnan for being sworn in as 21st Governor of Maharashtra, prays for a successful tenure ahead

Succeeding Ramesh Bias, CP Radhakrishnan, on the evening of July 31st 2024, was sworn in as the governor of Maharastra.

His Excellency CP Radhakrishnan newly appointed Governor of Maharashtra, on behalf of BAPS organisation, received congratulations from Abhay Swarup Swami and TirthSwarup Swami. They also prayed for his successful tenure and asserted that CP Radhakrishnan would continue to do humanitarian work.

At the same time, the governor also refreshed the sweet memories of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj.

CP Radhakrishnan’s Oath-taking ceremony

Succeeding Ramesh Bias, CP Radhakrishnan, on the evening of July 31st, 2024, was sworn in as the governor of Maharashtra. He is the 21st person to be appointed as governor since the formation of the western Indian state in 1960.

Devendra Kumar Upadhya, The Cheif justice of the Bombay High Court administered the officer’s oath to Radhakrishnan in the presence of CM Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and several other ministers & government officials at Raj Bhavan’s Durbar Hall. Following his oath, CP Radhakrishnan was also presented with a ceremonial guard of honor by the Indian Navy.

CP Radhakrishnan Political History

CP Radhakrishna holds a vast 40+ years of experience in Indian politics. Before getting sworn in as Maharastra’s governor, he served as Jharkhan’s governor for a period of approximately 18 months.

Additionally, Radhakrishnan has also assumed office as governor of Telangana and lieutenant governor of Puducherry for a brief amount of time.

He is a notable political figure in Tamil Nadu where he was born on May 4, 1957, in Tiruppur city. In the same city, Radhakrishnan also completed his higher studies to earn a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
