New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday launched a fierce attack on the Congress leader Udit Raj as well as the party for his deplorable & derogatory remark on the President Droupadi Murmu.
Score of BJP leaders tore into Cong leader for his disparaging remarks on the President and slammed his ‘anti-tribal mindset’. BJP also questioned the Congress party whether it endorse his views.
Udit Raj today took to Twitter and wrote, “no country should get such a President” and also accused her of ‘heights of sycophancy’. He also wrote that President says that 70% of the people eat salt produced in Gujarat.

His insulting remarks elicited strong counter from BJP spokespersons Sambit Patra and Shehzad Jai Hind. Sambit Patra said that this was not the first time when a Congress leader was making such obnoxious remarks.
Previously, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury also did it and thus it shows party’s ‘anti-tribal mindset’.
Shehzad Jai Hind said that Congress was stooping too low in its bid to score political points.
After Ajoy Kumar called President Draupadi Murmu as evil & then Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary used the term “Rashtrapatni” now Congress stoops to a new low! Udit Raj uses unacceptable language for the 1st woman Adivasi President!

“Udit Raj used unacceptable language. Does the party endorse this insult of the Adivasi Samaj?” he asked.
Facing strong backlash over comments, Udit Raj tweet that those were his personal remarks and not of the party.

However, the BJP and the National Commission for Women (NCW) didn’t fall for his clarification.
Shehzad Poonawala said that neither he nor the Congress party can wash hands off the insulting remarks which he made.
“This is not Sanyog, it’s the Congress mindset,” he tweeted.
The NCW, taking notice of his insulting remarks, has issued a notice to him and is demanding apology for the insulting and derogatory statement against the President Murmu.
Highly objectionable statement against the Supreme power of the country and a woman who with her sheer hard work reached at this position. @Dr_Uditraj must apologise for his derogatory and insulting statement. @NCWIndia is sending him a notice. https://t.co/wXnEgoC8Av
