New Delhi: A road accident on the Agra-Faizabad highway resulted in huge pile-up of vehicles on Wednesday. The mishap, which should have come as a reminder for reckless driving during foggy mornings, grabbed the headlines for an ugly incident that unfolded after accident.
Chicken loot ensued, soon after couple of vehicles collided on the Highway. Those present on the spot should have rescued the injured driver & people but they started looting the chickens from the lorry.
A lot many people were seen running away with the chickens. The act was caught on camera and a video of this got into strong circulation on the social media.
Some were seen packing chickens in their sacks, thus making it look like a ‘big heist.’
The lorry carrying chickens worth over Rs 1.5 lakh crashed into the pile-up of vehicles, which crashed into each other due to dense fog.
Shocking incident on Agra Expressway – people looting helpless chickens. It’s disheartening to witness such acts of cruelty. This reflects a loss in our humanity. Let’s advocate for compassion and empathy towards all living beings. No one should suffer in silence. 💔… pic.twitter.com/HHruIyGgwh

Early this morning, the dense fog shrouded the most parts of North India. As visibility drops to below 100 metres, a couple of accidents were reported from different parts.
In such intense foggy conditions, the highways become danger zones and often report pile-up of vehicles as they come crashing into each other, one after the another.
Police stopped ‘chicken heist’
It was free for all on the Agra-Faizabad highway until the police intervened. Reports suggest that onlookers & locals kept lifting the chickens until cops reached the spot and put a stop to it.
Reports suggest that the injured lorry driver kept screaming for help but nobody cared to look after him and rather kept running away with the chickens.
The chickens were estimated to be more than 500 in numbers and worth about Rs 1.5 lakh.
