New Delhi; In yet another shocker from Delhi, a 22-year-old youth stabbed a girl in the Adarsh Nagar area on January 2 (Monday). Following the incident, the youth, identified as Sukhvinder was arrested.
According to the reports, the victim and the accused were friends and due to some dispute, he stabbed her 3-4 times.
Currently, the girl is undergoing treatment in the Babu Jagjivan Ram hospital in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri and her condition is stable, said Delhi Police.
Reports said the victim is a BA student at Delhi University and she befriended Sukkhwinder 5 years ago.
The whole incident was captured on the CCTV camera.
In the video, both can be seen talking and walking together and after some time he stops and starts stabbing her multiple times.
Soon after stabbing her, he fled from the spot and absconded to Ambala from where he was arrested.
The accused has been charged under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
If reports are to be believed, the friendship between them turned sour after the girl stopped talking to him.
