New Delhi: Karnataka Exit polls predict a fractured mandate in the state Assembly elections, with ruling BJP & opposition Congress witnessing fight to finish battle. However, some regions apparently the stronghold of both parties show a clear mandate consolidating in their favour.
According to India Today-Axis My India Exit poll, the ruling BJP is set to sweep the coastal Karnataka region. It is projected to bag 16 out of 19 seats with the rest 3 seats going in Congress kitty. Kumaraswamy-led JD(S) is seen as the biggest loser with party not being able to open its account in the coastal region.
The number of seats also correspond to the whopping vote share attained by the saffron party. Axis My India predicts BJP bagging about 50% vote share in this region while Congress garnering about 40 vote percentage. JD(S) too remains a player here but with 6% vote share.
