Fire at MTNL’s Bandra building, More than 60 rescued
People trapped in MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited) building in Bandra, are being evacuated. A level 4 fire has broken in the building, 14 fire tenders are present at the spot
New Delhi: A level-4 fire erupted at the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) building here in Bandra area on Monday afternoon.
The incident was reported at around 3 pm. The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) immediately rushed its fire brigades and firefighting personnel to the spot.
One fireman has been admitted to a hospital after he experienced suffocation. 60 people have been evacuated so far. 30-35 still trapped on the terrace of the building. Rescue operation is still underway.

Around 100 people are feared trapped on the terrace of the building and 14 fire engines are at the spot to douse the the level-four fire. The fire is confined to the 3rd and 4th floor of the nine-storey building.

As many as 14 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire.

According to MFB, no injuries or casualties were reported so far.
