New Delhi: Four powerful explosions – three in Dibrugarh and one in Charaideo districts – rocked Upper Assam on Sunday morning, as the country celebrated its 71st Republic Day.
However, no casualty has been reported.
According to police officer, all four blasts occurred in a span of 10 minutes – between 8.15 and 8.25 am.

Assam Chief Minister Condemned the blast
Chief Minister Sonowal condemned the act and said that it is an act of cowardice. He directed police to take stern action against those involved. Peace loving people of Assam deserve a special thanks as due to people’s participation we were able to celebrate Republic Day in 33 districts.
