New Delhi: Oyo Rooms founder Ritesh Agarwal’s father, Ramesh Agarwal, passed away after falling from a high-rise building in Gurugram. Ritesh issued a statement and confirmed the news. Ramesh Agarwal fell from the 20th floor of a building and died. The news came three days after Ritesh and his wife Geetansha Sood, the director of Farmation Ventures, threw a wedding reception in Delhi.

As per DCP Virender Vij, Ramesh Agarwal fell off the 20th floor in DLF The Crest, Sector 54, Gurugram, and passed away. The postmortem has been done and police handed over the body to the family.

In the statement, Ritesh said that, with a heavy heart, he is sharing the news of his father’s demise. He called his father his ‘guiding light and strength’ and said that he inspired him and many others. The statement mentioned the death as a ‘tremendous loss’ for the family.
Ritesh added that his father’s compassion and warmth helped his family in their toughest times. He said that his words will be deep in their hearts. Ritesh also requested everyone to respect his family’s privacy in this tough time.
