New Delhi: ‘Khalasi (Gotilo)’, the Gujarati song is the latest internet sensation, making the music lovers swoon and go crazy over it. The Gujarati track, since its launch has been creating waves on all platforms and is making the people groove & gyrate on the charismatic number.
During Navratri too, the quirky number took the internet by storm and saw strong resonance with people.
Gujarati singer Aditya Gadhvi, the face behind the popular track is man of the moment and he is soaking all the limelight. In a recent conversation, the singer recalled his inspirational meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and disclosed how he was moved & motivated to work harder for attaining his goal.
He also conveyed his profound admiration for PM Modi’s work ethics and his commitment towards realizing the dream of billion plus nation.
What Gadhvi said about PM Modi
Reminiscing about first meet with PM Modi, Aditya said, when “When Modi Saheb was the chief minister of Gujarat before 2014, I was just 18-19 years old. As I had a hobby of singing, I used to participated in various shows & music concerts. That day, while I was performing, the Chief Minister had arrived. I had never met him. After my performance, my father asked me, do you want to meet CM Modi?”

“I was excited and preparing to meet him and also practicing on how to greet him during meet. When I approached him, it was he who first extended hand and asked me, ‘What is this, son? You have hoisted the flag of Gujarat. Do you study or not?”
Besides personal experience, Gadhvi was also all praise for PM Modi’s visionary leadership and latter’s commitment & dedication to take India to next level of growth.
He also cited an example of Rann in Gujarat and said how PM Modi’s leadership helped bring transformational change there.
“The vision he has is great. There is Rann, but what to do with it, so he started Rann Utsav, so that people visit Rann and connect with the culture of Kutch from all across the nation and the world,” Gadhvi told pressmen.

The Gujarati track ‘Khalasi’ released on July 5 this year and has since then gone to delight & energize music lovers. The song has fetched more than 5 crore views on YouTube. In last few months, the ‘Khalasi’ mania has gripped scores of internet users who don’t hesitate from making candid comment while also enacting a song & dance performance on the same.
The song is based on the story of a valiant sailor who goes on the Gurjarat voyage without any inhibitions and dares to explore the shores of the state. The song captures the adventurous journey, joyful & struggling experiences along the way and also all the challenges that he embraces along the way.
The song has been composed by singer Achint Thakkar, a well known figure & recognized for his work on Scam 1992.
