New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani submitted his resignation at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar. He has said that the responsibilities in the party keep changing with time. This is a natural process in the party.
‘I thank the Bharatiya Janata Party for giving a big responsibility like CM to a small worker like me. I thank the Prime Minister for the opportunity I have had in 5 years in the development journey of Gujarat,’ said Vijay Rupani
His resignation comes a year before the assembly elections in the state.

He took charge as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on 7 August 2016. He currently represents Gujarat’s Rajkot West as MLA.
