New Delhi: The hashtag, Gyanvapi Case, started trending at the top on Twitter after the Varanasi Court delivered the ruling in favour of the Hindu side. Under the hashtag, many users shared memes and a few also shared their opinion on the court’s ruling.
Before we come to reactions on Twitter, it is important to note that the court rejected the Muslim side’s petition and said the suit from the Hindu side is maintainable. In the suit, five Hindu women had sought permission to worship before the idols on the mosque’s outer walls. This suit was challenged by the Anjuman Islamia Masjid Committee before the court.
Rejecting the petition from the Muslime side, the court set the next date of hearing in the case for September 22. From the Hindu side, Vishnu Shankar Jain is representing the case.
Reacting to the latest development, UP’s Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak welcomed the court ruling. He added that our primary job is to maintain law and order in the state.
