New Delhi: While the revelations in grisly Shraddha murder case continues to shed light on killer boyfriend’s atrocious treatment in live-in relationship, a 2020 letter has surfaced which shows the victim filing a complaint to Maharashtra police about being threatened by her live-in partner.

In 2020, the couple lived as live-in partners in Maharashtra’s Vasai.

The letter dated 23/11/2020 was submitted by Shraddha Walker to police. In the complaint letter, she wrote that Aftab threatened to kill her and cut her into pieces and then throw it away.

“Today, he tried to kill me by suffocating me”, she wrote in the complaint to police.

The complaint brings to fore her fears of being killed by live-in partner, two years ago.

“He scares me and blackmails me that he will kill me, cut me up in pieces and throw me away. It’s been six months he has been hitting me but I did not have the guts to go to the police because he would threaten to kill me,” she wrote in letter.

The letter was brought to media’s attention by her neighbor in Vasai. She claimed that Shraddha went with her to police to file the complaint.

Aftab’s parents mentioned in plaint

Shraddha further mentioned that Aftab’s parents were well aware of his tantrums. They knew that he used to beat me, thrash me as they used to visit us during the weekend.

She wrote in the complaint that though they had plans to get married but now onwards, ‘I want to quit & walk free’.

Her fears are evident from her words, as she wrote, “Any kind of physical damage should be considered coming from him as he has been blackmailing me to kill me or hurt me whenever he sees me anywhere.”
