IAS turned Politician Shah Faesal detained while trying to leave India, sent back to Srinagar

Faesal who recently became a politician after resigning from the civil services has been making controversial statements since the abolition of Article 370.

New Delhi: IAS officer-turned-politician Shah Faesal was detained at the Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi Wednesday. He was sent to Srinagar, where he was detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

As per Kaul, Faesal was prevented from leaving India via the Delhi airport and has been placed under house arrest in his home state of Kashmir.

Faesal who recently became a politician after resigning from the civil services has been making controversial statements since the abolition of Article 370.
