New Delhi: The Indian High Commission in London saw groundswell of support on Tuesday as hundreds of people from the Indian community gathered outside its premises and showed solidarity following vandalism at the premises by Khalistani extremists.
The development comes just a day after some pro-Khalistani supporters staged protest outside the Indian mission and also pulled down the Tricolour. The pro-Khalistani demonstration outside Indian mission on Sunday hogged global headlines as the miscreants not just waved separatist flags but also tried to insult the Indian flag in broad daylight.

Giving a tit-for-tat treatment and strong message to the separatists, the Indian community staged a demonstration outside the High Commission & raised slogans. Wearing India on their sleeves, hundreds of them waved Indian flags while many others shook a leg on patriotic songs like ‘Jai Ho’.
A video of ‘India march’ outside the High Commission in London was shared by journalist Sidhant Sibal.

As the video of Indian community gathering outside High Commission landed on social media, it elicited many response from the netizens. Many hailed the initiative and lauded those coming out on the streets while others expressed their solidarity with the ‘India march’.
The pro-Khalistani protest was prompted, first in United Kingdom & then in US’s San Francisco, by Punjab police crackdown on ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh & his associates. The pro-Khalistani leader is on the run and is wanted in many cases of violence including the one at Ajnala police station.
