New Delhi: Director General of Prisons HK Lohia was found murdered under suspicious circumstances in a house in the Udaywala area of Jammu on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, said the police.
DGP Jammu said that one domestic helper Yasir Ahmed is the main accused.
Sources said during the initial investigation that Yasir was quite aggressive in his behaviour and was also under depression.
ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh also said that as per the initial investigation so far no terror act is apparent but a thorough probe is on to rule out any possibility.
He also said that the weapon which was used for the offence has been seized and beside this some documentary evidence reflecting his mental state has also been taken.

According to the police, the accused had used a broken ketchup bottle to slit his throat and he also tried to set his body on fire.
Director General of Police, Jammu zone, Mukesh Singh said, the security guard broke into his room after they saw flames coming out while the room was locked from inside.
In the CCTV camera footage, the suspect is seen rushing out of the house.
Meanwhile, search for the suspect has been launched and the body of senior officer has been sent for post-mortem.
The photographs of the suspect has also been released by the Police and have urged public to inform the officials if they have any information.
