New Delhi: A social worker named Nityananda Olakadu was captured rolling on the road in a unique way to protest against potholes on Wednesday. The video of Nityananda Olakadu was shared by news agency ANI.
Due to the recent rains in the state, several videos and photos showing waterlogged and pothole-filled streets of Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru had gone viral on social media.
The rain resulted in large-scale destruction, affecting the normal life of people in the state.
In the video, Nityananda Olakadu can be seen rolling on the road filled with potholes.

In Southern state, this type of ritual is called ‘Urulu Seve’, which is performed by the people by rolling-on-the-floor type of ritual at temples for the welfare of society.
Last month, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had released a data, which said that around 5,626 people died between 2018 and 2020 in accidents caused by potholes.
Respectively, the ministry also said that a total number of road accident deaths due to potholes in 2018, 2019 and 2020 stood at 2,015, 2,140 and 1,471.
