Delhi/Lucknow, Nov 15: Kejriwal-led government in Delhi has spent a whopping amount of Rs 940 crore in the last seven years on advertisements on pollution but hardly any amount on the pollution control as such, a RTI reply reveals.

“This is the realty of the governance by Kejriwal government which is high on rhetoric while dismally low on action, “said Senior Uttar Pradesh minister and govt spokesman Siddharth Nath Singh. The pollution of river Yamuna in Delhi even during the Chhatt festival was testimony of the total failure of Kejriwal on pollution control coupled with poor air quality in Delhi. Moreover, he has the gumption to give suggestions to other states while doing nothing in AAP ruled state of Delhi.

The observation of the Apex Court in this regard raise a serious question on the performance of Delhi government on pollution control, says the UP minister asking for some urgent remedial measures without engaging in unnecessary rhetoric in view of UP assembly polls.

Raising a pertinent question, Siddhart Nath Singh asked ” Kejriwal owes an explanation why he is against the people of UP as evident by his action to stop construction work in Delhi in the name of pollution control measure. ” The same Kejriwal had played dirty with the labourers of UP by turning them out during Corona crisis last year and again they are snatching their bread and butter, ” he pointed out.

According to Singh it has been so shameful for Aam Aadmi Party to seek support of UPites despite having handed them the step motherly treatment on many occasions. “AAP can never win over the people of UP and it will be a futile exercise to even try to make a foray into politics here, ” remarked Siddharth Nath Singh.
