New Delhi: As Karnataka police intensifies its probe into the low-intensity blast in an autorickshaw in Bengaluru, sensational details about the 24-year-blast accused and the conspiracy to terrorize the city is emerging.

Person named Mohammad Shariq is the prime accused in the blast case and cops believe that he had bigger intentions of causing widespread damage but that got foiled as the bomb exploded in autorickshaw. Shariq & the autorickshaw were up in flames when they were travelling through a locality and were subsequently helped by the locals.

Police conducted searches at Shariq’s Mysuru residence and has recovered many things including gelatin sticks, relay circuits, wires & explosives of different kinds.

Karnataka Police also informed that he accused had travelled to Coimbatore with a fake identity and stayed there with forged documents. In Comibatore, a similar blast happened recently outside a temple.

Cops when searched his residence recovered at least 2 fake Aadhar cards.

While investigating the low-intensity blast, police recovered burnt pressure cooker from the charred auto. According to initial reports, the cooker was fitted with wire & detonator.

Shariq’s handler in Dubai?

What’s more worrying is the finding that Shariq was being guided by his handler in Dubai, reports said. He is said to be heavily radicalized & was allegedly linked to terror group ISIS.

Reports also said that Shariq, hailing from Tamil Nadu’s Shimoga, was in contact with a ISIS handler based in Dubai.

Abdul Mateen Taha is understood to be the main handler. He is a suspect in Al-Hind ISIS Bengaluru module case. His was also raided by NIA in 2020 and carries a bounty of Rs 3 lakh on his head.
