Delhi: At least 17 dead in blaze at Hotel Arpit Palace in Karol Bagh, rescue operations underway

Officials said that priority is to evacuate the persons stranded inside the hotel and then they will assess the amount of loss.

New Delhi: At least seventeen people died in the fire that broke out in Hotel Arpit Palace in Delhi’s Karol Bagh on Tuesday morning.

At least 25 fire tenders responded to a call at 4.30 am this morning to conduct rescue operations. Delhi Fire Services chief Atul Garg said the death toll could further rise.

The local administration officials have rushed to the incident site. The exact reason behind the incident is unknown.
