Massive fire breaks out in Mumbai’s Fort area, 2 firefighters injured
Mumbai: A massive fire broke out inside Patel Chambers of the Fort area of the city, in the wee hours of Saturday.
There have been no casualties but two firefighters were injured as a part of the building collapsed while they were dousing the fire. More than 18 fire tenders are on the spot to bring the blaze under control.

ANI quoted Mumbais fire brigade chief as saying, “2 fire-fighters had minor injuries, rest everybody is safe. We deployed 16 fire engines, 11 tankers and 150 fire officers, the situation is under control.”

Building was abandoned for last 4 years
The exact cause of fire is not known yet. Since the building was unoccupied for the last four years, it is not immediately known if any fire norms in place or if it were flouted.
