Modi cabinet reshuffle at 5.30 PM tomorrow; young faces to be inducted, say reports

New Delhi: Putting the speculation to rest, the Union Cabinet reshuffle is set to take place on Wednesday at 5.30 PM.

According to reports, the rejig in Council of ministers will see 6 cabinet ministers taking oath tomorrow.

A lot of emphasis has been laid on bringing highly qualified MBAs and PHD scholars into the central government. Reports suggest that there will be more women ministers and special representation will be given to those who have administrative experience.

Who could get berth in Modi cabinet expansion?

Several leaders, who are speculated to get a possible berth in the council of ministers, have begun arriving in the national capital.

Jyotiraditya Scindia took a flight to Delhi this afternoon from Indore and was also seen visiting a local temple before boarding flight to Delhi. Scindia, a former Union minister, is expected to be part of the council of ministers. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in March 2020.

Former Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal is also arriving in the capital ahead of much-awaited cabinet expansion.

JD (U) leaders RCP Singh and Lallan Singh are also reaching the capital. Till now, the JD (U), an ally of the BJP, did not have any representation in Central government.
