ISIS behind Bhopal-Ujjain train blast, says Shivraj Singh Chouhan
Bhopal, Mar 8: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said, the blast in Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train yesterday was a pre-planned conspiracy of terrorists influenced by IS ideology.
Making a statement in the state assembly in Bhopal, he said that the state police and Anti Terrorists Squad with coordination of Central agencies succeeded in nabbing the accused within five hours.
The chief minister said that Improvised Explosive Device was used in the blast. He said that three suspects were held from Piparia of Hoshangabad district. An FIR has been lodged against unknown accused in GRP Ujjain thana in the blast case. Chouhan said that the accused are being questioned to get information about their other accomplices.
On the other hand, state’s home minister Bhupendra Singh told media that yesterday’s blast was a trial blast by the terrorists. They had plans to orchestrate blasts at other places.
An explosion had taken place in a general coach of the train near Jabdi railway station at Kalapeepal in Shajapur district yesterday. Ten people had been injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, a team of National Investigation Agency, NIA today reached Bhopal to look into the train blast case in Madhya Pradesh, over suspecion of a terror attack.
