New Delhi: In a new twist to the horrifying incident where Delhi’s Anjali Singh died after being dragged by a car for 13 km was not alone when her scooter met with an accident, said sources.
During the investigations, it has been found that the 20-year-old Anjali was with a friend when a Maruti Baleno car hit her scooter. It has been said that Anjali’s friend received minor injuries in the crash and she fled the scene.
The investigators said Anjali’s leg got stuck in the axle of the car it was after this she was dragged along with the vehicle.
Police said they have tracked Anjali’s friend and her statement will be recorded as part of the probe.
Anjali’s friend came to the limelight when the police were preparing a route map to get some more clarity about the incident.

So far the police investigation has found that the accident took place at Delhi’s Sultanpuri.
All the five men accused have admitted that they were drunk at the time of the crash.
The accused told police that they were unaware that Anjali was being dragged along.
They also said that they immediately fled the spot after hitting 20-year-old Anjali because they were scared and panicked.
According to reports the accident took place on Sunday at around 2 am in Delhi’s Sultanpuri. The victim, Anjali worked at an event management company and was returning home after work when the accident happened.
