A day after more than 40 CRPF jawans were martyred in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Kashmir’s Pulwama, their mortal remains were brought to Delhi’s Palam airport.
New Delhi: A day after more than 40 CRPF jawans were martyred in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Kashmir’s Pulwama, their mortal remains were brought to Delhi’s Palam airport.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, along with Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal paid floral tributes to the 40 CRPF soldiers at the Palam airport this evening.
The PM and other leaders laid the wreath on the coffins, wrapped in the national flag.
The bodies of the soldiers were brought to Delhi in a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft today. The bodies will be sent to their respective cities tomorrow.
