New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid his last respect to veteran politician and Akali Dal patriarch Parkash Singh Badal in Chandigarh.
PM Mod paid his last respect for Punjab Former CM at Shiromani Akali Dal party office in Chandigarh where the mortal remains of Parkash Singh Badal was kept.

PM Modi arrived in Chandigarh at noon.
Parkash Singh Badal breathed his last on April 25. He was 95.

Prakash Singh Badal, who was the a five-time Chief Minister of Punjab, was hospitalised a week back after he complained of breathing problems.
PM Modi had condoled the passing away of Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said that he is saddened by the passing away of Badal. He also remebered his contributions to the nation. He said that Badal worked tirelessly for the progress of Punjab.

As a mark of respect to the veteran politician, the Central government has announced two days of state mourning across India.
