PM Modi reviews HR status in all govt departments, ministries; directs recruitment of 10L people on mission mode in 1.5 years

The Department of Personnel and Training, the government of India’s department for hiring human resources for its various administrative divisions, comes directly under the PMO.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the status of Human Resources in all departments and ministries. PM instructed that recruitment of 10 lakh people will be done by the Government in mission mode in next 1.5 years.

The news was shared by PMO on its official Twitter handle.

PM Modi’s review meeting comes two months after he suggested the secretaries of the central government to fill up the vacant seats in the ministries and departments.

Prime Minister held the meeting with the secretaries on April 2, he had then stressed that employment should be the focus of all government interventions in public and private sectors.

Large scale employment generation is the key promise of Modi government.

The hiring is done through two organisations, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
